I was here 15-20 years ago, almost regularly on a bike tour or at lunch or dinner, both professionally and privately. The great location, good food and friendly service have always brought me back here. I was here again after about 10 years of absence and was very amazed. Unfriendly (young lady) we were threatened with the waiting time of at least 1 hour which prompted us to leave the restaurant. Obviously, the restaurant will not or cannot be run as it used to be. The business situation is obviously uncertain or even really precarious. Too bad ... because I worked in leading positions in hotels and restaurants for decades and also as a self-employed hotelier, I could easily see that repair or There is a traffic jam and the necessary staff is missing. I wish the owners / tenants a lot of success and the money they need to get the house going again, because it would actually be a real gold mine, at least with a good concept, a lot of commitment and pleasure in doing it ...... Again and despite the disappointment, I wish the whole crew all the best.

We used to like and often in the Sprengenöder Alm, just the fantastic view was always worth the trip. Since the daughter and son-in-law took over the restaurant, it has really been a disaster. We would have liked to go to lunch today, but despite several attempts, we cannot reach anyone by phone. We don't dare to drive just like that because it has already happened to us that we were sent away again on the grounds that the previous day was a celebration / wedding. I don't understand why there is nothing to eat the next day and why you don't write a note on the homepage. Pity!

Fantastic location, but that's about it. I have known the Sprengenöder Alm for over 30 years, with all its ups and downs. Too bad about the wonderful situation, quasi a "shitty" gem to tie in with the title of the TV documentary about Sprengenöd. Edit: For a better understanding of the owner: I review "Sprengenöder Alm, Sprengenöd 4. 82547 Eurasburg" Does the "The egg is a shitty godsend" something to you? During the 80s and 90s I regularly visited the Sprengenöder Alm and I liked it very much. The changing history of this inn is well known to me. Recently I was there again, but probably to a last good-bye.

Had the "Kaiserschmarrn" this afternoon. Glad we did. It is playing in a league of its own. Highly recommended !

Sensational situation covers some small mistakes ....

Very good crispy duck eaten with plenty of sauce. Red cabbage and dumplings also great. The dumpling is perhaps a bit small for a "really hungry" person - the location is also very nice.

A little old hotel. Breakfast is tasty and fresh. Beautiful wide view of the Alps. Restaurant with good local cuisine.

So nice and cozy. So that we celebrated our wedding here a year ago. Waitresses always friendly and courteous. Even if the boss is out of the house. Tip: The best Kaiserschmarrn far and wide. Excellent again today!

Last weekend we were again as often on the Sprengenöder Alm as a guest in the cozy inn in Sprengenöd. As always we were greeted in the friendliest way though very much at the time on the terrace and in the restaurant was going on and the food in the minute from the kitchen was seductive fragrant it came naturally to smaller bottlenecks which led to certain waiting times which but not worth mentioning. The service by the boss of the house itself was very friendly and professionally shaped. As I said stress was announced pure but still came a friendly word from the landlady on your lips. All in all, a very enjoyable day we will gladly repeat at any time.

Very high prices with inappropriate quality. We were served raw fish. When hinted the complete plate was taken, the fish again briefly warmed and laid with the not rough side up. We will not eat here again.

We have been living here for 10 years now. As is often the case, we spent a few hours in Wolfratshausen. Had a coffee, strolled around and then wanted to drive. But since we didn't want to go home yet, we drove once in a direction in which we had never driven before. On the street I saw with one eye a sign with the inscription xxx Alm. Then a sign with monastery xxx. We went there and inspected it. Was nice. Suddenly my son got hungry. I said I saw a sign saying "Alm". We followed this back. We got upstairs and approached the house. Immediately I felt a strange mood. Not negative. I would like to call it haunted. Everything around the courtyard looked strangely deserted. Nobody really seems to care, it seemed to me. We went down a staircase, the steps of which are set into the earth as large wooden beams. Already completely rotten. The house itself looked deserted. I told my wife there is nothing left here. You couldn't see a card either. But what I saw was light. I said let's go in, we'll find something. No sooner had I opened the door, a feeling of spontaneous coziness flowed around us. As neglected as everything looked from the outside, it was so cozy inside. The interior is old but it has charm. The room is infinitely cozy, Bavarian. Immediately I felt good. I was a little irritated when I was received by a very friendly Indian. You could tell his Indian origins from his language, but he clearly belonged in this strange place. Was strangely connected to him. An Indian woman in the kitchen. I made a joke to my wife, "today we're going to eat Indian". But since I love Indian cuisine, it would hardly have bothered me. We open the menu, lo and behold, typical Bavarian food. Something didn't match, but I perceived the mood in which I was immersed as an adventure. Ordered veal meatballs (meatballs for non-Bavarians) and a pumpkin soup with mountain cheese. I look out of the window. A wonderful view, wonderful. We'll remember that, I say. We only live a few meters away. My son got spaetzle, my wife a pork pan. Super very tasty, could have been a little more. Spaetzle delicious and homemade. Maybe a little more here too. My Fleischoflanzerl, 1a. Potato salad, wonderful. Pork, good consistency, well fried, a bit of salt too little. Everything fine. I look around, the plastic plants don't belong here in the Bavarian environment. I keep looking around, there is a lot to be done. The awning is completely through. Outside the wood of the terrace. A little money is missing here. Well, real plants are extremely expensive. I'll let it go. We pay, no EC card possible. Actually there is no such thing anymore, but I wasn't surprised. Getting the money together with oh and oh. I go to the toilet. What is there on the wall. A newspaper report from 1978. An illegal schnapps distillery was excavated here. What's next to it. Well, the stoiber. Farewell to the CSU. Slowly an image emerged that coincided with my emotions. This place has a great story to tell. I felt it all the time, as if he wanted to talk to me. I come home and discover that this courtyard was the focus of a movie made in the 1990s. Now it became conclusive. I just ordered the film. That was really, really great cinema for me. Clear 5 points. I would even give 6, it "swings" in these walls

The fish was raw, but the waiter was realy friendly.

Authentic bavarian. Friendly service, good food, unbeatable views. A very special place off the beaten path but still close enough to civilization. Highly recommended.
